City Council consideration of Request for Proposal 19-033AO for ATMS Master Plan Update, Grant Services, Engineering Design Services, and Project Management Services for the Advanced Traffic Management System Phase III, City Project No. 2018-08.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:

1. Award Request for Proposal (RFP) 19-033AO, titled "ATMS Master Plan Update, Grant Services, Engineering Design Services, and Project Management Services" City Project No. 2018-08, to Iteris, Inc., for the amount not to exceed $456,338.00, and waive any and all minor irregularities in the proposal.

2. Approve the Professional Services Agreement with Iteris, Inc., in the amount not to exceed $456,338.00.

3. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Professional Services Agreement between the City and Iteris, Inc., for the amount not to exceed $456,338.00.

4. Authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue a purchase order to Iteris, Inc., for the amount not to exceed $456,338.00 and approve necessary change orders up to the amount provided by the Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.070 (I).

5. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to negotiate and execute any amendment to the Professional Services Agreement, which are either non-substantive or are otherwise in compliance with the City Council's actions hereunder.

ANALYSIS:
The Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) was originally conceived back in 2000 out of a need to have multiple traffic signal systems communicate to each other to provide more efficient traffic management to a growing community. The first ATMS Master Plan was originally completed in September of 2002.
