APPOINTMENTS TO REGIONAL BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Members of the Corona City Council, along with elected officials from other Cities and County Boards, participate on various regional boards and commissions. Representations on the Regional Commissions are very important to the City of Corona. It allows local elected officials to carry the concerns of Corona residents to a broader audience. Various issues are addressed including transportation, legislation, and habitat protection. The schedules for the regional board meetings are established by their various organizations. Council Members will provide oral updates on information pertaining to the regional groups at future City Council meetings throughout the year. I will announce my appointments at the January 3, 2024 Council meeting for the following Regional Boards and Commissions that will be established for 2024:
• Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC)
• Riverside Transit Agency (RTA)
• Riverside County Habitat Conservation Agency (RCHCA)
• Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG)
• Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority (RCA)
• Western Riverside County Regional Wastewater Authority (WRCRWA)
• Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)
