EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This staff report asks City Council to approve a Maintenance/General Services Agreement with Augustine General Engineering, Inc. for a critical water main replacement project on Carmelita Avenue which will also include a small section of Arcadia Street and Coronita Street.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:

a. Award the Maintenance/General Services Agreement with Augustine General Engineering Inc., of Alta Loma, CA, in the amount of $1,611,495 to perform critical water main replacement on Carmelita Avenue, a small section in Arcadia Street, and Coronita Street.

b. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Maintenance/General Services Agreement with Augustine General Engineering Inc. for a total contract of $1,611,495, including any non-substantive extensions, purchase orders, change orders and amendments up to $100,000, as authorized in Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.060(J).

c. Authorize the creation of a new Capital Improvement Project titled "Carmelita Avenue Water Main Installation."

d. Authorize an appropriation in the amount of $1,711,495 from the Water Utility Fund 570 to the newly created Carmelita Avenue Water Main Installation Capital Improvement Project.

That the Corona Utility Authority review, ratify, and to the extent necessary, direct that the City Council take the above actions.
