EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This staff report asks City Council to approve the Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with PBK Architects, Inc for the Fire Station Rebuild Project No. 2022-04 for a total amount not to exceed $792,000. The City of Corona received federal relief funding from the COVID-19 pandemic through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). City Council previously approved a $10 million allocation for the Fire Station Rebuild Project. This PSA will start the planning and design phase of the project.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:

a. Award Request for Proposals 23-012AC for professional design and engineering services for the Fire Station Rebuild Project No. 2022-04 to PBK Architects, Inc. (PBK) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

b. Approve the Professional Services Agreement with PBK for a total amount not to exceed $792,000.

c. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute a Professional Services Agreement with PBK for a term of January 4, 2023, through December 31, 2026, in the amount of $792,000.

d. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to negotiate and execute non-substantive extensions, change orders, and amendments up to 10% or $79,200 as authorized in Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.070(I).

e. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to issue a Purchase Order to PBK in the amount of $792,000.
