EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This staff report asks the City Council to approve the Construction Contract with Weber Water Resources CA, LLC for the Well 14A Rehabilitation Project, No. 2023-04. The project will allow Well 14A to be returned to production, reducing the City's reliance on expensive Metropolitan Water District water by an estimated 500 gallons per minute.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:

a. Approve the Construction Contract with Weber Water Resources CA, LLC for the Well 14A Rehabilitation Project, No. 2023-04, in the amount of $882,400.

b. Adopt Plans and Specifications for the Well 14A Rehabilitation Project, No. 2023-04, Notice Inviting Bid 23-074CA.

c. Award Notice Inviting Bids 23-074CA to Weber Water Resources CA, LLC the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, for the total bid amount of $882,400, and waive any and all minor irregularities in the bidding document as submitted by the said bidder.

d. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Construction Contract with Weber Water Resources CA, LLC in the amount of $882,400, including any non-substantive extensions, change orders, purchase orders, and amendments up to the amount authorized by Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.060(J) which is equivalent to 10% or $88,240.

That the Corona Utility Authority review, ratify, and to the extent necessary, direct that the City Council take the above actions.
