EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This staff report asks the City Council to continue the public hearing for Specific Plan Amendment 2023-0006 (SPA2023-0006) to the North Main Street Specific Plan to the meeting on May 15, 2024. This request is made by the applicant, Ganahl Lumber Company.

BACKGROUND & HISTORY:
The applicant, Ganahl Lumber Company, submitted an application to the city to amend the North Main Street Specific Plan, SPA2023-0006. The request is to amend the Land Use Table of the specific plan to permit building material sales with indoor and outdoor storage in the Transit Commercial District, which is currently listed as a prohibited use.
SPA2023-0006 was reviewed by the Planning and Housing Commission at its meeting on March 18, 2024, and recommended for approval to the City Council. SPA2023-0006 was advertised for a public hearing at the City Council meeting on April 17, 2024. However, the applicant is requesting that the public hearing on the application be continued to the meeting on May 1, 2024. The applicant is requesting a second continuance to the May 15, 2024, meeting.
The request is for the City Council to continue the public hearing on SPA2023-0006 to May 15, 2024.
