Body

ANALYSIS:

On September 25, 2017, conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property arose within the City of Corona. This was caused by a wind-driven wildfire known as the Canyon Fire that started at approximately 1:00 p.m., south of the 91 Freeway near Green River Road in Corona, at which time the City Council of the City of Corona was not in session and as a result of the fire, individuals were injured and properties, both public and private, experienced damage and due to the fire and the secondary hazards posed to persons and property a local emergency was declared. The City of Corona has reviewed the emergency conditions necessitating the Local Emergency Declaration of September 25, 2017 and find that these conditions no longer exist, pursuant to Government Code 8630.
