City Council and Corona Utility Authority consideration to award NIB 18-042WY to Jeremy Harris Construction, Inc. for Cota Lincoln Percolation Ponds Maintenance Project.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the:

1. City Council award Notice Inviting Bids (NIB) 18-042WY titled Cota Lincoln Percolation Ponds Maintenance Project to Jeremy Harris Construction, Inc., the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for the total bid amount of $303,209, and waive any and all minor irregularities in the bidding document as submitted by said bidder.

2. City Council authorize the General Manager to execute a Maintenance/General Services Agreement with Jeremy Harris Construction, Inc. in the amount of $303,209, and to approve necessary change orders and/or amendments up to the amount provided by Corona Municipal Code Section (CMC) 3.08.060(J).

3. City Council authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order to Jeremy Harris Construction, Inc. in the amount of $303,209.

4. City Council authorize the appropriation of $303,209 to the operating budget from the available working capital in the Water Reclamation Utility Fund 572.

ANALYSIS:
The City of Corona Purchasing Division solicited bids from qualified, licensed dirt excavation and removal contractors for the Cota Lincoln Percolation Ponds Maintenance Project. The Department of Water and Power will be overseeing this project.
DWP utilizes the three percolation ponds for reclaimed water from City of Corona Water Reclamation Facility No. 1, and Water Reclamation Facility No. 2.
