RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the Planning and Housing Commission recommend APPROVAL OF DA2018-0002 to the City Council, based on the findings contained in the staff report.

BACKGROUND
Mining on the property originated sometime in the 1930s; however, the permit history on the property started in 1979. The property and mining operation originated in the unincorporated area of Riverside County and in 1991 the property was annexed to the City of Corona. The city inherited the mining operation upon annexation and issued a city mining permit to replace the mining permit that was previously issued by Riverside County.
