RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:

1. Adopt the Mitigated Negative Declaration and approve CZ2017-0101 as recommended by the Planning and Housing Commission.

2. Introduce by title only and waive full reading for consideration of Ordinance No. 3293, first reading of an ordinance of the City of Corona, California, approving a change of zone on 0.61 acres from A (Agricultural) to R1-9.6 (Single Family Residential, on property generally located on the north side of Othello Lane, approximately 840 feet west of Buena Vista Avenue). ANALYSIS:
Change of Zone 2017-0101 is an application by the Evangelical Free Church of Corona to change the zone on approximately 0.61 acres from A (Agriculture) to R1-9.6 (Single Family Residential, minimum lot size 9,600 square feet). The church owns 6.8 acres which contains their existing sanctuary, ancillary buildings and parking lot located at 988 W. Ontario Avenue. However, approximately 0.61 acres (26,480 square feet) located on the southwest corner of the church property facing Othello Lane was not developed and remains unimproved. The church is proposing to separate this 0.61 acres from the rest of the site so that it is independent from the church and on its own separate parcel. The purpose is to sell the 0.61-acre parcel and have it developed with a single family residential dwelling...
