RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:
1. Adopt Resolution No. 2019-015, initiating proceedings to levy and collect assessments for Fiscal Year 2019-20 for Lighting Maintenance District No. 84-1 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, appointing Engineer of Record, and ordering preparation of an Engineer's Report.
2. Adopt Resolution No. 2019-016, initiating proceedings to levy and collect assessments for Fiscal Year 2019-20 for Lighting Maintenance District No. 2003-1 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, appointing Engineer of Record, and ordering preparation of an Engineer's Report.
3. Adopt Resolution No. 2019-017, initiating proceedings to levy and collect assessments for Fiscal Year 2019-20 for Landscaping Maintenance District No. 84-2 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, appointing Engineer of Record, and ordering preparation of an Engineer's Report.

ANALYSIS:
Lighting Maintenance District No. 84-1 ("LMD 84-1") and 2003-1 ("LMD 2003-1"), and Landscape Maintenance District No. 84-2 ("LMD 84-2) were established in accordance with the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (the "1972 Act") in 1983 and 2003 respectively. The purposes of these districts were to provide lighting and landscape maintenance and operating services for the streetlights, traffic signals, public landscaping, and related appurtenances within the districts' boundaries.
