Body

ANALYSIS:

The California State Library has awarded the Corona Public Library $35,689 from a local assistance grant for the LaRS On The Go (OTG) Lesson Boxes Shared Vision/Bringing the Library to You grant program.  The grant is effective for the period beginning February 5, 2020 and ending March 31, 2022. The award will be made in two payments (90% for first payment; 10% upon completion of final report).

LaRS OTG Lesson Boxes will allow staff and patrons to participate in themed enrichment activities including literacy, STEAM, and social/emotional health.  Each box incorporates materials for an interactive storytime, a Social Emotional Learning Guide, a related children’s group engagement activity, and an active recreation element.  These additional services will educate and empower patrons of all ages, interests, and abilities while creating a more engaging and memorable experience. LaRS OTG allows the department to extend its reach into underserved areas of the community, introduces them to the myriad services available to residents, and, in turn, should encourage their use of the library, its resources, and services.
