Title
City Council and Corona Utility Authority consideration to award NIB18-031CA WRF1 Centrifuge project to Pascal & Ludwig Constructors and approve an appropriation to the Capital Improvement Project entitled WRF#1 Centrifuge.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the:

1. City Council appropriate a total of $804,550.49 to the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) entitled WRF#1 Centrifuge from the following sources: $325,425.39 from the 2013 Wastewater Bonds Fund 454 and $479,125.10 from the Water Reclamation Utility Fund 572.

2. City Council adopt the plans and specifications for the WRF1 Centrifuge Project and award NIB 18-031CA to Pascal & Ludwig Constructors of Ontario, CA in the amount of $781,000 to install the centrifuge and build the necessary infrastructure.

3. City Council authorize the General Manager and City Attorney to negotiate and execute any extensions and/or amendments to the Construction Contract which are either non-substantive or otherwise in compliance with the City Council's actions hereunder, including the determination and implementation of any termination or mutually acceptable extensions to the Construction Contract

4. City Council authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue purchase orders in accordance with the duly authorized and executed agreements, change orders, amendments and renewals.


5. Corona Utility Authority (CUA) review, ratify and to the extent necessary direct that the City Council take the above actions.
