RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:
1. Award Request for Proposals (RFP) 18-006SB, titled "Contracted Fixed Route/Corona Dial-A-Ride (Paratransit) Transportation Services" to MV Transportation, Inc. of Dallas, Texas based upon the findings noted in this report.
2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute a Maintenance/General Services Agreement with MV Transportation, Inc. in the amount of $5,787,340.83, for the initial three-year period ending June 30, 2021 and two (2) one-year extensions in the amount of $4,196,743.16 with total compensation of $9,984,083.99 for the five-year contract and approve necessary change orders and/or amendments up to the amount provided by the Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.070(I).
3. Authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue a purchase order to MV Transportation, Inc. in accordance with the duly authorized and executed agreement.
4. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, and City Attorney to negotiate and execute two (2) one-year agreement renewals and any extensions and/or amendments which are either non-substantive or are otherwise in compliance with the City Council's actions hereunder.
5. Authorize the Administrative Services Department to approve additional budgetary adjustments required for completion of this contract.
