City Council consideration of approval of award of Notice Inviting Bid ("NIB") 20-052HC for Magnolia Medians Landscape Renovation Project and appropriation of additional funding for the completion of the project.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
That the City Council:

a. Adopt the Plans and Specifications for the Magnolia Medians Landscape Renovation Project.

b. Approve a budgetary transfer of $469,000 from Fund 227 ("Measure A") in Capital Improvement Project 7268 River Road Median Landscape Improvement Projects to Capital Improvement Project 7263 Magnolia Median Rehabilitation.

c. Appropriate additional funds in the amount of $31,000 from Fund 222 ("Gas Tax") to Capital Improvement Project 7263 Magnolia Median Rehabilitation.

d. Award Notice Inviting Bid ("NIB") 20-052HC for the Magnolia Medians Landscape Renovation Project to Mariposa Landscapes, Inc., of Irwindale, California, in the amount of $718,602.55.

e. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Mariposa Landscapes, Inc., in the amount of $718,602.55, and approve necessary change orders up to ten percent of the contract amount.

f. Authorize the Acting Public Works Director and City Attorney to negotiate and execute any amendments to this agreement which are either non-substantive or otherwise in compliance with the City Council's actions hereunder.

g. Authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue a purchase order to Mariposa Landscapes, Inc., in the amount of $718,602.55 in accordance with duly authorized and executed agreements.
